Crest 3D Whitestrips
This is what I got in the mail! |
This is before |
This is after 3 days |
I took the day three picture because Crest claims that you will start seeing results in as little as three days. I really can't tell the difference at this point, but we'll keep trying. He hasn't finished using them yet, after he finishes I will update this post with a final at the end of using them picture. Chase (my fiance) says that he has to dry his teeth before putting them on because otherwise they slip around on his teeth. He also said that the peroxide taste is pretty bad, especially if he drinks water (the directions say you can drink water while wearing them) with them on. He usually brushes his teeth immediately after taking them off due to the residual peroxide taste. Also he said they barely cover his teeth. Other than that he said they're pretty good.

Mott's Medley's Fruit Snacks
I was recently given the opportunity to try a new product, Mott's Medley's Fruit Snacks I was definitely on board for these. My kids LOVE fruit chews, but I don't like all the artificial coloring and flavoring in them. Well, Mott's has the answer these are made with natural flavors and coloring, plus they have vegetable juice in them too.
My kids, hubby and I all really enjoyed these. They were soft, chewy, and super tasty. At first I was afraid my kids wouldn't like them because you can slightly taste the carrot juice in some of the snacks, but they gobbled them right up. So these were definitely a thumbs up from both of my little ones and me.
I got two boxes of these, one of both of the flavors above. My hubby said he like the Assorted Fruit the best, my kids loved them both, and I liked them both as well. If you want to see the nutrition information click the link to take you to Mott's website directly to the nutrition and other information.
I received product to facilitate this review thanks to MyInsite, but all opinions are 100% mine.

Peanut Butter Fudge
I don't usually share this recipe with ANYBODY, and I mean anybody. So everyone should feel extra special because I have decided that it is time for the world to know the secret of my fudge. :) Everyone that I have ever made this for LOVES it, and that is not an exaggeration. Everyone really loves this recipe, I always have to make a double batch at both Christmas and Thanksgiving. I don't usually use real butter when I cook, but when I bake or make any kind of sweets I use real butter. For this recipe I suggest using real butter instead of margarine because it tastes soooo much better. I didn't take any pics of this recipe, I know such a slacker, but when I make it at Christmas or Thanksgiving I'll take some and put them here for you all to see. Also, I don't butter my pan I spray it down with cooking spray. :) After it has been chilled you can invert the pan to get the fudge out and then cut it into whatever size squares you would like. It is extremely rich though, so small to medium squares are best. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this recipe and the delicious fudge that it makes. :)
Peanut Butter Fudge
½ cup butter
or margarine ¾ cup peanut
butter (creamy)
1 pound
light brown sugar 1 pound
powdered sugar
½ cup
milk 1
teaspoon vanilla
In medium saucepan, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Mix in powdered sugar and beat until
smooth. Spread into buttered 9-inch
square baking pan. Chill until firm.
For double
batch:
1cup butter
or margarine
2 lbs light
brown sugar
1 cup milk
1 ½ cup
peanut butter (creamy)
2 lbs
powdered sugar
2 tsp
vanilla

Purex UltraPacks-review
As you see I received two samples of these. |
This is what was in the two samples I received. |
I recently received two free samples of Purex UltraPacks (click the link to learn more about their product). I used one of these on the towels and one on our clothes. No one (including my daughter [she has the most sensitive skin]) had any problem using this product. It got the clothes and towels very clean, and no one had any problems with their sensitive skin after using this product. Which in my family is awesome! However, the package said that it had a Mountain Breeze scent and I didn't smell any scent on my clothes after the wash or even after the pack dissolved in the washer. One thing I really liked about this product is that they do make a Free and Clear version, for those of us who do have the more sensitive skin. The samples also included a 50cent off coupon, which was kinda cool. So this is definitely something I would use, I love the convenience of the pack that you just drop in at the beginning, no measuring involved; therefore no messes to clean up from spilled product. :)
I received two free samples, all opinions are 100% mine.

Autism Awareness Month
For those of you who don't know April is Autism Awareness Month, and today (April 2nd) is National Light it Up Blue day for Autism Awareness. Autism effects many people and all of them in many different ways, take the time today to make sure that anyone you know who is effected by Autism isn't in need of some help. For that matter take the time every time you are able to ask if they need any help, even if it's just something as small as going to the store and picking up something small for them or just someone to talk to. We all need to know that we have someone who is there for us, but sometimes we need to know that we aren't alone in our struggles too. So take the time today and everyday to make sure that you don't have someone who needs you.

Tide Pods
I got a sample of Tide Pods in the mail and tried them. I think they worked great, unfortunately the sample only contained one pod which is good for one load. I used it on my towels, which turned out great. They were clean and smelled good, exactly what I have come to expect from Tide. They dissolved in the water almost instantly, so there was no worrying about if it was actually going to do the job or not. I will have to go buy some of these to try on my clothes too, when I do I will let you know how they turn out. Especially since my kids and I all have eczema combined with very sensitive skin and can't use just anything on our clothes and skin. I'll let you all know how that turns out after I go and buy some to try on the clothes. Until then, they do work great on towels.
**Update, I got some more and used them on my kids clothes and mine. And the verdict is if you have sensitive skin you should NOT use Tide Pods. I love Tide and use Tide on my clothes and Tide free and clear on my kids clothes with no problem. However, the Tide Pods broke out all three of us. My poor little baby girl got the worst of it as her skin is the most sensitive and she broke out from head to toe. So while it does do a great job on getting clothes and towels clean and it smells great, it is not for those with sensitive skin. Maybe they will come out with a Free and Clear version for those of us with sensitive skin.

Parmesan Chicken
My entire family loves this recipe so I thought I would share it with you all. I unfortunately do not have any pictures right now, but next time I make it I will be sure to take some pictures to share with you all.
Parmesan Chicken
What you need:
1/2 cup Parmesan (shredded)
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs (seasoned will work if that is what you have on hand and don't want to buy plain)
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. both Thyme and black pepper
Approx. 4 boneless skinless chicken breast
2 Tbs. both Olive oil and Dijon mustard
How to prepare:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees, combine dry ingredients on one plate and wet ingredients on another plate. Remove fat from chicken if desired (I do this because I HATE fat on my meat). Coat chicken in wet ingredients and then dry and place in a greased baking dish. Repeat with each chicken breast. Cook for 1 hr or until chicken is done (one hour is usually perfect for mine, unless I just happened to find some huge chicken breasts). Remove and serve with whatever your desired sides are.
I hope you all love this recipe as much as my family does.

Pre-K lottery
I don't know about anyone else, but my state does a Pre-K lottery. You have to register for the lottery and then children are chosen at random for the drawing. It isn't first come, first served or anything like that....and if you are in my situation where you are in the process of moving between counties you are completely screwed. Because in order to register your child you have to have EITHER a power bill or a gas bill with the address in that school's area and it HAS to be in the child's legal parent/guardian's name. We are moving from McDuffie county to Columbia county, but by the time we get our land surveyed and get a 911 address and get the land cleared and our home there and set up to be able to get a power bill in our names the registration period will be closed. My son has a December birthday, so he's already having to start school a year late because of his birthday and now this stupid crap. They won't let me register him until I have this stupid bill, but I can't get a bill until I have a freaking house. How retarded is that?! I have proof that I am having a house placed in their school area and everything,f but can't get a power bill because there is no house there to hook power up to. That just doesn't make any since to me. So my child will probably have to go another year without being in school, by which time he will be too old for Pre-K and will have to start school behind everyone else in regular Kindergarten. My sister-in-law said getting her kids into Pre-K was much easier before the drawing started because of "No Child Left Behind" seems to me like the no child left behind is making it easier to have children left behind. Because even for those that are able to get their children registered before the end of the registrations period are NOT guaranteed a spot for their child. Leaving more children behind.
This is my little man, Zachary. His birthday is Dec. 3rd. He's four and will be 5 this year. |

Thanks to SheSpeaks I was able to try these amazing chocolates. They are delicious. Melt in your mouth and so smooth, was just like eating truffles. I love Ghirardelli chocolates anyway, but these are my new favorite.

Our precious doggy
Why would someone who knows their dogs are vicious NOT keep their f*&^ing dogs locked up! I HAD an sweet, playful, loving wiener dog. That's him in the picture above right after we first got him in July 2011. He was extremely good with my kids and everyone else that came around. One of my neighbors has 3 vicious dogs that were out today, and my neighbor that lives across the street came over around 7:30-8 o'clock tonight to tell me that those dogs had been playing tug'o war with my little Colby. My kids are gonna be devastated. Why weren't those dogs locked up? The neighbor from across the street then proceeded to inform me that one of their dogs (who just had puppies 4 weeks ago) has been missing for 2 days and the last time she was seen those same tug'o war dogs were out. Tomorrow my hubby is going to call the police to come out and have something done about the vicious dogs as well as try to find our precious Colby so we can give him a proper burial. So to all those people who own dogs that KNOW their dogs are vicious, please keep your dogs in a fence on your property so that other people don't have to worry that your dogs will kill their pets or kids.
R.I.P. Colby, we love you very much!
